jOrgan keeps crashing when trying to edit in construct mode

Marco Francesco
I have a debug log of this:

jOrgan_crashes.7z
<http://jorgan.999862.n4.nabble.com/file/t76345/jOrgan_crashes.7z>

I am using jOrgan 3.21 beta 3

Mark

Hi,

you're using some really big images in your disposition, so the
application crashes when it's running out of memory.

Try increasing the maximum heap size, i.e. change the second line (-Xmx)
in jOrgan.l4j.ini in your jOrgan installation directory:

     # heap size
     -Xms64m
     -Xmx128m

Actually 128m seems quite small nowadays, this should generally be
updated to at least 1024m.

Have fun
sven

Hi Mark,

Which disposition are you using when getting this error?

According to the log, this is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) issue.

Kind regards,
GrahamG

Hi Graham. I am helping Aaron with a new disposition (interface for a HW
sampleset).

Sven's solution worked.

Sven, what does one do if he gets the message "You do not have permission to
change this file.  See the owner of the file or an administrator to gain
permission."
It will not save the change, edited as a text (txt) file.

Sven, forget the previous.  I changed the permissions for the jOrgan folder
and it accepted the changes.
